What is Holistic Nutrition?

Holistic nutrition analyzes the many different areas of a person’s life before encouraging a specific way of eating. It means looking at a person at a whole and taking into account the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of their life.

In my practice I help my clients establish healthy eating habits by encouraging them to explore how they sleep, their relationships, their career, creativity and more. This is because a person is multi dimensional and their eating habits interconnect with all their other habits.

For example, if someone is struggling in their relationships they could be more prone to over eating or late night cravings, or if a client is experiencing stress at work they may start reaching for foods with simple carbs that may give them a midday crash etc.

To give strong and impactful nutritional advice I fully engage my clients in the process and incorporate different tools to better understand how they can be helped in the most sustainable and joyful way.

I know how hard it can be to eliminate foods, eat in a restrictive way and change the habits you are used too which is why the holistic approach is a great choice if you want to start eating healthier or lose weight in a less restrictive, more understanding and manageable but effective way.
